Pharmaceutical production rooms may combine solvent hazards with room cleanliness and validation requirements. Explosion protection and clean-room suitability are distinct assessments. Neither a clean-room faceplate nor a flameproof enclosure establishes both automatically.
Coordinate room-envelope details, cutouts, maintenance access and cleaning procedures with the hazardous-area equipment schedule. Powder-handling areas need a separate dust-hazard assessment: gas-area equipment must not be assumed to have dust protection without the required marking and certificate.
